Cat-Catapult Contest
We've been having a bit of trouble with the building of the giant catapult with which to hurl all the Earth's slimy cats into the sun. The delays have mostly come do to the fact that we've yet to master physics, mathematics, engineering, and all the other disciplines necessary to construct this device, not to mention the disruptive nature of chattering squirrels outside our window. If anyone would care to submit a catapult design to help in this noblest of causes, it'll set our tails motorin'.Here’s a cat catapult design that Bob “Mailman” came up with and Dave Coates illustrated. Here’s Bob’s text (followed the Dave’s sweetly rendered blueprints):
“It would have to be simple as dogs are not complex animals. It would also include a basic dog function, digging. I think a square hole dug into the ground with a platform on a giant spring would work. The spring would be loaded into the hole so the platform is even with the ground. Cats would be lured onto the platform where someone would pull a lever, releasing the spring and shooting the cats toward the sun. ”
