Poncho has died and gone to Dog Heaven.  Either that or Christmas has come early…..although I’m sure Santa called to say it was another lump of coal this year!

He reminds me of the old cartoons where the tongue would uncurl and curl as the eyes bugged. I wouldn’t mind stopping at this place with him.

Nice Photoshop on the eye, and also the tongue hanging out. :-)

That’s no photoshop…remember, I’m a photoshop luddite. That is a cardboard tongue and eye, taped on. And the restaurant is called “The Salt Lick” just outside of Austin, Texas. When Poncho visited, I had to take him there for a picture,as it is pretty famous and Willie Nelson eats there a lot.

This truly is “Dog Heaven: The Land Of Meat” - I quote their holy book, First Dalmatians, Chapter 1, Verse 14: “And lo, before mine eyes laid as manna in the desert, was the seasoned, rubbed and flame licked carcasses of many a creature, prostrate before me as testimony to my righteous duty as my master’s canine servant, an eternal reward for service to him that owneth me, which hath been done with humility, honesty and dedication. Amen.”

On second thought, considering Poncho’s past, this might have needed to be a piture of “The Land Of Rolled Up Newspapers.”

Also note the correct spelling of “Dalmatians”. My Sadie who’s up in heaven is smiling.

Also love the use of “manna”. Get your butt to our Pooch Cafe story thread. :-D

You guys are making me blush…this is Paul’s website - the guy who makes a living doing this stuff, remember? I’m just an Irish smart eleck, not a pro like Our Man Gilligan.
And dude, I’d give 10 of Oprah’s chins and a Hefty bag full of federal stimulus cash to have his job - he’s the funny one!

Paul, being the awesome person and gifted artist he is, would only appreciate seeing talent in someone else. :-D Plus, we can worship more than one person, you know.

But of course we all bow to our beloved Paul and place him high on a pedastal with his Poochy awesomeness as he has bedeviled and bedazzled us with his creations. I’m feeling all brainwashy now. ;-)
