Merry Ol’ Poncho!

By Paul | November 14, 2012

Sorry for the delay on putting these up, but here are some of Sandy’s first pics of her and Poncho’s tour of swinging London.   Here we see him in classic bowler style, all decked out in his finery while learning that a fish and chip shop is called a “chippy”, and posing with Sandy, his fine chaperone, in front of Buckingham guard.  Sandy: “I really think the real guard cracked a smile!!!! The tourists did and a worker inside where I carried him around. Notice poncho can stay still and keep a serious face!”

.

.

See more Poncho in London photos here.  Fantastic photos, Sandy, and thanks once again to Lulu for the sensational Poncho outfit!

Thanks Paul for putting these up. Poncho was quite the hit in London and Southend-on-Sea, where we spent most of our time. I have lots more pictures to put up on the message board thread devoted to our trip. One correction. This guard was at the Tower of London. The hat Poncho is wearing belonged to our very own Rich, whose mum we stayed with while in England. Will be posting more about that as well as more pictures once I get the time to re-size and upload. Still trying to get back in the grove and caught up at home and at work!

Oops! Tower of London. I’d fix it, but then your comment wouldn’t make any sense, ha ha. I will post about the Richard story soon.

Thanks so much Paul! And the guard is the same either place! And thank you for Pooch Cafe…this all came about because of IT! So I guess I have you to thank for my trip to England, eh? :)

I love how this all came about because of our love for this comic strip and a special thanks to Paul. I don’t think many artists are as open to their fans as you are, Paul. We thank you. We truly do.

Sandy’s trip was a joy for me as well as I lived vicariously through her and it was my pleasure to make Poncho his little outfit. A labor of love for Sandy and Paul. ;-)

And now Poncho is wearing full uniform and sitting in my office, surrounded by my British souvenirs and flags. He will wear the uniform as long as he’s at work. Where will he visit next? If I go to Hawaii I’ll make him a hula skirt!

I don’t think I told Paul that Poncho went on a trip to Afghanistan with a member of a special forces unit. That dog gets around! :)
