“The strip that got me hooked on Pooch Cafe:? Poncho is on the couch barking at squirrels he spies through the window. Chazz tells him to BE QUIET. More barking. Chazz continues to tell Poncho to SHUT UP! Bark. Be quiet, bark, be quiet etc. Last panel Poncho is at the Pooch Café with a drink complaining to Boomer: My master wouldn’t shut up ALL DAY! I was Chazz! I often yelled out into the back yard for one of my dogs to SHUT UP! But never before thought that I could be seen as the one making all the racket, though one time my neighbor mentioned hearing one morning ME yelling Scooter to shut the hell up! LOL. Guess I’m the neighborhood nuisance, not my dog! Of course, I bought the original from you and also have the strip laminated pinned on the wall near my desk at my office.
Sandy, aka Peanut “
These are so much fun to post! I love hearing these reminiscings. Thanks, Sandy!

I remember that one! Great one!
I still am not sure what was my first but when I think back I can’t think back any further than the Santa Christmas one so I’ll claim that as my first.
This is giving me an idea for a thread. For those of you not yet joined up to our message board, click on the left where it says Message Board and join! Lots of Pooch Cafe’ fun. If you have any questions, you can post them right here first but first you have to join Paul’s Pooch Cafe’ site. That is also very easy but clicking on Register at the top left part of this page.

The above strip applies to you too Lulu…I’ve heard you call Paulie….not yell at him to BE QUIET but to COME ON or COME IN. So I guess there are times when you don’t shut up all day. Hee hee.

Are you picking on me because I won’t yell at Mr. Pauls??? I know you tell me to raise my voice to get him to come in the house or get him to behave but I just can’t really do it. I can’t raise my voice bc he appears to be a dog who wasn’t treated well long ago and I think he interprets yelling as abusive.
What I WILL say is he is such a smart dog and learns so quickly so you just have to take some time and teach him command words. Now he comes in from the back yard when I yell out his nickname from the back door, “NINETY SEEEEEEEVEN!” He plops right in.
I still have to figure a way to get him not to beg while we’re eating. It’s just so cute how he pines with his big eyes. But I know I must figure out a way bc a dog that behaves is a happier dog.
But no, I won’t yell at my SuperPauls!
And Sandy, are YOU telling ME that I talk a lot? YOU????

My favorite strip, that hangs on my desk, is where Poncho sneaks in the bedroom with the cat under his arm and throws him on the bed. Of course the cat gets blamed for waking him as Poncho is waiting by his dish for breakfast.
